The SpeedBag HydraSleeve elminates mixing in the well when it is deployed; therefore the equilibration time is eliminated. There is no need for well restabilization. The SpeedBag is designed to be deployed and retrieved immediately.
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE SPEEDBAG: SPRING CLIPS FOR THE TOP OF THE BAG MUST BE USED. SPEEDBAGS REQUIRE ACTIVATION OF THE CHECK VALVE AND OSCILLATION DURING RECOVERY. TO POP OPEN THE CHECK VALVE PULL UP HARD 1-2 FEET ONCE ON THE TETHER; LET THE ASSEMBLY DROP BACK DOWN, REPEAT THIS PROCESS 4 TIMES, AND THEN QUICKLY RECOVER THE SPEEDBAG THROUGH THE WELL SCREEN.
No-purge device provides comparable, formation quality samples of ALL parameters from small-diameter (2" and larger) wells for both short and long-term monitoring. Collects a core sample of water - the water that first enters the bag will be at the bottom of the sleeve; with the last water collected from the screen being at the top of the sleeve. The sample does not mix within the sleeves.
Disposable. Fits in 2-inch Schedule 40 and larger wells. Standard material = virgin 4 mil PE.
Absolute maximum volume obtainable without spilling 900 mls. Please note you must have 8 feet of saturated screen to retrieve 900 mls of sample volume. For shorter saturated screens the sleeve can be shortened or alternative oscillating retrieval methods can be used (see article below).
