HydraSleeve Symposium 2010

Our first HydraSleeve User's Symposium was a great success.   A select group of our customers were invited to our facility for advanced HydraSleeve training.  We had fun hosting the event and our guests had fun attending. We have heard nothing but good news from the attendees and we hope to continue the tradition next year.

It's very important for us to get this one-on-one, face-to-face contact.  Not only did we provide the group with insightful, practical tips, but we also gained valuable feedback from our customers who repeatedly use our products.

After meeting and greeting everyone over coffee and pastries, we provided a very short tour of our facility.  The group seemed surprised to learn that the HydraSleeves are manufactured and shipped from a small, rural facility.

Dave Nielsen, our guest speaker from the Nielsen Environmental Field School, provided information on the history of groundwater sampling.  Afterwards, the president of GeoInsight and inventor of the HydraSleeve, Kent Cordry gave an indoor presentation on the history of the HydraSleeve.  He also covered some of the most common questions and also added some of the "insider" lessons that he has learned over the past decade developing the HydraSleeve.

After lunch the presentation moved outdoors.  Hands-on demonstrations and training were provided both in clear columns and in our on-site test wells.  The clear columns are a good visual tool to show what happens when the HydraSleeves are deployed. The on-site test wells help us demonstrate what it's really like in the field.  One lady in the group especially appreciated getting the opportunity to have some hands-on HydraSleeve experience as she normally works in the office of her organization.

All work and no play makes Kent a grumpy man....so of course with any GeoInsight function comes a little bit of fun.  We enjoyed the rest of the afternoon talking shop, socializing and playing games at our facility.  We then took our show on the road to scenic La Mesilla where dinner was provided at the historic La Posta Restaraunt

Our goal was to provide in-depth practical experience along with a little bit of background of the HydraSleeve.  We particularly wanted to address direct questions from our customers who have been out in the field working with our products.  The feedback from the group has indicated that we achieved our goal in hosting this event.  We hope to see some of you there next year!
