Hosting Environmental Field School Classes

It's always a pleasure working with Dave and Gillian Nielsen on their groundwater sampling courses.   The last class we conducted here at our facility was the Complete Groundwater Sampling Field Course held in our home town of Las Cruces on October 17-19th.

We get to meet so many interesting people and it's always a great experience.  We are proud to teach the students about no-purge sampling and more specifically showing detailed field work using our HydraSleeve products.

Please look over the Nielsen's Environmental Field School website, you are sure to find a course that interests you.  We look forward to seeing you here for future classes.

Should you SuperSleeve your Sampling?

To use a SuperSleeve or not to use a SuperSleeve? That is the question we hope to answer in this short video demonstration.

The Super/SkinnySleeve product line was introduced to overcome some of the small sample volume limitations which occur in any no-purge sampling environment.

The Super/SkinnySleeves make it much easier to retrieve the most sample volume from the water available in the column.  We can now capture 80% of the water available in the well screen using the SuperSleeve.

So, should you Super/SkinnySleeve your HydraSleeve sampling?

HydraSleeve Check Valve Video Demonstrations

The most popular questions we are asked about HydraSleeves are questions concerning the check valve.  This is basically the most important part of any HydraSleeve.  The top-filling check valve coupled with the lay-flat sleeve is actually what allows the sleeve to work.  The check valve makes it possible to obtain discrete interval samples using HydraSleeves and if it did not work, we would not have a viable patented product.

We have previously tried to explain the check valve using written words and pictures.

Admittedly the check valve is hard to see.  It is also hard to explain how it works.  However using videos it is much easier to demonstrate the HydraSleeve check valve and it's operation.

Please see the links below for video demonstrations of the check valve and how we know it works.

Product Highlight - Sand Weight Clips

The sand weight clip - not simply for sand weights any more!

At just $0.25 each this little accessory could be the handiest of our clips.  It has many uses in the field, not just for HydraSleeve deployment.  Where ever you need a tight, secure, connection these may be helpful.

The primary HydraSleeve use for these clips is to attach the sand weight to the HydraSleeve.

They also provide a secure connection from the HydraSleeve to the tether at both the top and bottom of the sleeve as shown below.  The Sand Weight Clips are also highly recommended for attaching multiple HydraSleeves to one tether because they provide the most secure connection.
